ImpoundDesk is the desk board for towing and impound yards: what’s on the lot, what’s on hold, and who is coming to pick up what. Here is everything it does today.
The lot
- Vehicle log
- Plate, vehicle, stall, tow reason, arrival time and daily storage rate for every vehicle.
- Holds
- Each vehicle is on hold, ready, released or headed to auction, so nobody promises a held car.
- Plate lookup
- Search the lot by plate while the owner is on the phone.
Releases
- Release steps
- Docs pending, scheduled, released or cancelled, with the claimant, fee due and pickup time.
- Gate codes
- Record a pickup gate code on the release. It stays in the app and is never shown on the claimant’s page.
- Release payment page
- Each release gets a private page with the fee and a pay button that opens your own payment link.
- Email the link
- Send the claimant their release page from your yard’s name. Replies come to you.
Running the business
- Staff logins
- Add people by email. They sign in with their own email and work in your account; only you can change settings or the team.
- Import from a spreadsheet
- Bring in up to 500 rows at a time from a CSV file. Every row is checked like the form, and nothing is added if one has a problem.
- Export any list
- Download any list as CSV, in the same format the import accepts.
- Search and filters
- Longer lists get a search box and status filters, so you can find a row in seconds.
- No passwords
- Sign in with a one-time code sent to your email, or with Google.
- Works on a phone
- Every screen works in a phone browser. Nothing to install.
